“Pokki,” a free program for Windows 8, brings back the familiar start menu and lets you find your favorite programs faster.
After you download it from Pokki.com, it asks you to choose the programs you use most often. These go into a favorites folder. Whenever you search for something later on, click a star to add it the favorites list.
Pokki doesn’t just let you bookmark apps, it also lets you save files and websites to a favorites list, available from the “start” menu. “Start” also contains the familiar shut-down icon. Overall, we found it easy to use and it has our favorite price -free.
