If it annoys you to type a password every time Windows starts or wakes up from a nap, try this:

To remove the password requirement and launch your computer faster, click “start,” then “Control Panel.” In Windows 7, click “User Accounts and Family Safety.” Choose “Change Windows Password.” Choose “Remove Password.” The steps are similar for Windows XP users. You are now an unknown user.

To get to Control Panel in Windows  8, hold down the Windows key and type the letter “I.” Right-clicking it when it comes up allows you to pin it to the taskbar and add it to the start menu. It will be easier to find next time you want to use it to uninstall a program or make other changes.
